Bloomin' Marvelous

The blossom has been quite breathtaking this spring. Keep reminding myself that despite all the uncertainty and chaos of things am still lucky to be here, and should take time to appreciate it all.

What a lovely picture! Have you got any elderflowers there to make cordial with?

Hi Silvana, am sure I could find some in the hedges nearby.

Am inundated with courgettes at the moment - so any foolproof recipes would be appreciated!
Definitely don't have your strengths in the kitchen!

Onions(red), garlic, pumpkins and tomatoes(cherry) are well on their way too. I only grow stuff that takes the least work.

How lucky are you! My friend Paul Merrett made a brilliant spicy courgette pickle that went with everything I'll ask him how he did it. I like to fry matchsticks of courgettes in olive oil and garlic until soft and golden and toss with pasta and lemon juice and handfuls of Parmesan. My mum dusts rounds of sliced courgettes in flour and then beaten egg and shallow fries until crispy and we all stand round the kitchen and try and fork them out of the pan when she's not looking. Taking it you're getting some good sunshine then?
